The Vision
Creating a Destination
Bottoms Up Chop Shop was founded in 2006 and originally located in Amarillo, TX. When Michael Steel made the decision to move to Collinsville, OK, He brought his Independent Harley Customization, Performance and Service Business with him in 2016.
It was Michael’s vision to develope a Destination Bike Shop that would host those who loved the Motorcycle Culture as he did. A Shop where those who traveled on 2-Wheels would want to make a regular stop on thier journeys. He purchased a commercial building in 2017 and took his time to construct this location into a Shop that would rival any Harley Dealership in look and feel. With the goal to have a Bar, and eventually a BBQ Joint, attached.
Michael has spent the last few decades as a Seller’s Ambassador in the Motorcycle, Auto and Collectables Auctions from Coast to Coast. Traveling 3 to 6 days a week as a highly respected member of Teams that conduct Auctions. In those travels, he has always found peace in Cocktail Lounges around this Great Nation. When he opened Ape Hangers Cocktail Lounge in June, 2025, he brought a unique knowledge of Adult Beverages and Cocktail Lounge atmosphere he has gained through those travels.
